The Sandringham Football Club, nicknamed The Zebras, is an Australian rules football club based in Melbourne that was formed in 1929 and plays in the Victorian Football League (formerly the Victorian Football Association). The Zebras have a 5 year alignment agreement with AFL club St Kilda Football Club of which the first season was 2009. The alignment agreement means that St Kilda Football Club listed players that are fit to play but not selected to play for the Saints in the AFL are available to be selected to play for the Zebras in the VFL. Previously, Sandringham had an alignment with Melbourne. Sandringham and Melbourne were the 1st 2 clubs to form an alignment with it being announced in 1999 to start in season 2000..The alignment had an immediate effect with Sandringham winning the 2000 Grand Final [1]Sandringham and St Kilda signed a 5 year alignment that started on 1 November 2008.

In 2005, the Zebras defeated Werribee in the VFL Grand Final to win their ninth flag, and achieve back to back flags for the first time in the history of the club.

In 2006, the Zebras again made the VFL Grand Final, this time defeating Geelong to achieve a record of 3 successive premierships.

The Zebra's home ground is the Trevor Barker Beach Oval. The Sandringham Dragons play in the TAC Cup are due to become part of Sandringham Football in the foreseeable future
